We are currently seeking expressions of interest for full time Head Chefs to join our FIFO/DIDO Resources Catering Team. The ideal candidate can be based in Brisbane, Gladstone, Mackay, Rockhampton, Townsville or Emerald.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all safety and quality processes are followed and exceed customer expectations in regard to a healthy and delicious food offering, whilst being in line with contractual requirements. 

What we are looking for?

  • Cert III in Commercial Cookery
  • Previous experience as a Head Chef 
  • High volume catering, including bulk catering and function/banquet experience
  • Previous remote village or camp experience 
  • Ability to work to client expectations
  • Ability to work a flexible roster
  • Creative periodical menu planning and implementation
  • Training and development of existing kitchen staff
  • Current Coal Board Medical and Pre-Employment Functional Assessment or willing to obtain 
  • Current Standard 11 Certificate or willing to obtain
