We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Housekeeping/Cleaning Supervisor to be part of establishing and overseeing all accommodation/administration services at Dugald River Village (north-west QLD)
This is a permanent Full-Time opportunity working an 8 days on/ 6 days off roster, either DIDO from local and surrounding areas or FIFO from Brisbane or Townville.
This role will be responsible for the overall efficient running of our village housekeeping, laundry and mine site cleaning operations.
As a Housekeeping Supervisor you will be responsible for leading a team across our housekeeping department including room cleaning, laundry operations and mine site cleaning. You, along with your team, will ensure all facilities are clean and comply with our contractual obligations.
You will assist the village management team with ensuring an excellent resident experience by implementing processes to ensure a high level of cleaning standards and facilities management across your area of responsibility.
You will be a hospitality professional with demonstrated customer service ethos and leadership skills.
The Position:
- Management of all village housekeeping and cleaning services including room cleaning, laundry operations and mine site cleaning
- Ensuring all aspects of service delivery in accordance with the contract for services
- Schedule and supervise
- Issuing and managing staff rosters and timesheets
- Managing the cleaning budget and ensuring costs are controlled
- Supervise all team members in their day-to-day duties
- Scheduling of, and managing, ongoing maintenance for all periodical cleaning
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and maintenance in all accommodation, administration, mine site and laundry facilities
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and service rotations
- Ensure effective communications through timely response and action to requests including accommodation services, maintenance requests, general enquiries
- Monitor stock levels and handle ordering of housekeeping supplies ensuring adequate par levels are maintained on site
- Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures within the housekeeping function and other relevant areas
- Contribute to the development of a highly engaged and motivated team
- Ensure the promotion of a strong site safety culture and compliance with all workplace health and safety requirements

Minimum Criteria:
- Ability to undertake regular travel to site on a DIDO/FIFO roster
- Ability to work in a remote and physically demanding environment
- Proven experience in housekeeping/cleaning operations is essential preferably within a remote/village operation with laundry and mine site cleaning operations preferred
- Demonstrated experience using housekeeping audit tools/systems and Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, eye for detail and high standard of accuracy
- Ability to motivate a team to deliver outcomes and thrive in a busy and dynamic environment
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and customer service skills
- Demonstrated experience in effectively managing a range of stakeholder relationships and delivering to plan
- Solutions focused – self-motivated with a proven ability to demonstrate initiative and adapt to changing needs or priorities
- Physically fit with the ability to successfully pass pre-employment medical requirements
- Possess an Australian drivers licence
