ISS Facility Services is looking for an accomplished Maintenance Supervisor to join the team in a Full-Time located in Wacol. You will assist in overseeing the delivery of an integrated facilities service offering for our client.
A maintenance supervisor plays a key role in ensuring that the building, machinery, or equipment are properly maintained and running smoothly. Here's a general breakdown of the role.
Core responsibilities
- Supervising the quality and work performance of maintenance contractors.
- Developing and overseeing the required servicing and preventative maintenance programs.
- Respond promptly to customer requests for maintenance assistance in order to meet ISS KPIs and to minimise disruption to client operations;
- Complete all general maintenance and relevant repairs to a high standard at all times;
- Carry out site inspections to identify, report and action faults and items for repair;
- Carry out visual checks and inspections of identified HVAC (mechanical) equipment and report repairs or faults to the Key Account Manager, Contract Administrator and/or HVAC contractor;
- Carry out visual checks of lighting and replace light bulbs and tubes as required;
- Assist the Key Account Manager in keeping an up to date inventory of spare parts and consumables on site, and order additional as required;
- Carry out minor repairs to fixtures and fittings such as walls, doors, door hardware, joinery and furniture;
- Carry out general plumbing as required; that is replace tap washers and water heater filters, lubricate hot water release valves, etc.
- Carry out internal and external site clean-up as required;
- Perform other maintenance related activities as required by the Key Account Manager.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience working in a maintenance or handyman capacity;
- Experience identifying and procuring resources and materials required for maintenance tasks;
- Proven ability to proactively identify maintenance requirements and manage priorities.
- Ability to identify hazards and prepare risk assessments (JSA and SWMS);
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise to meet short deadlines;
- Proven ability to provide solutions to maintenance related issues that produce efficiencies and cost savings;
- A strong attention to detail;
- Exceptional verbal communication skills, including the ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers and contractors;
- Own reliable transport
