Our team is growing and we are currently seeking people to join us in the position of Training Coordinator at our location Melbourne Airport, employed on a Full Time basis.  The regular pattern of hours for this role will be Monday to Friday, with some attendance required outside normal business hours.

🛠 Purpose and Responsibilities

The Training Coordinator will support the execution of training operations within ISS Security at Melbourne Airport, where we provide aviation security screening services across all terminals. They will also support training activities are scheduled, delivered, recorded, and reported accurately to maintain compliance, workforce readiness, and operational continuity.

As such, a typical day will include such duties as;

  • Coordinate all scheduled training activities within assigned rotation.
  • Allocate learners and trainers in consultation with rostering and operations.
  • Adjust schedules in response to operational requirements.
  • Manage enrolments, attendance records, and assessment documentation.
  • Maintain training records to audit-ready standard.
  • Provide timely reporting on upcoming expiries.
  • Maintain health, safety and welfare within their area of influence and/or business
  • Participate in OHS consultation arrangements

 What You’ll Bring

  • Demonstrated ability to lead an effective team with proven small team coordination experience
  • Experience in a compliance-driven training environment (government, healthcare, aviation, Defence)
  • Strong organisational and scheduling capacity with high attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • High level of computer literacy and database analytics
  • Ability to gain and maintain an ASIC
  • Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (can be provided internally if not already held)

Stronger candidates will be able to meet these desirable criteria:

  • Experience in an aviation security screening environment
  • Experience utilising commercial LMS (learning management system) software
  • Certificate IV Workplace Assessment and Training (TAE40122, TAE40116 or equivalent) or relevant workplace trainer experience
  • Approval as a Screener Accreditor from Dept of Home Affairs (can be provided if not already held)
  • Ability to gain and maintain a Victorian Security Licence
