We’re on the lookout for multiple Hands-on Facility Coordinators to work on an exciting new contract across Australia.

All roles will report directly into the Facility Manager.


About the Role

The Hands-on Facility Coordinator supports the Facility Manager in the day-to-day delivery of facilities management services at our key manufacturing sites. The role provides practical on-site support to help ensure the facility remains safe, compliant, clean, operational, and fit for purpose.

This role acts as a first point of response for reactive maintenance requests and minor facility incidents, undertakes minor repairs within demonstrated competency and delegated authority, assists with contractor coordination, supports planned preventative maintenance, and maintains accurate work order and site records.

The role may provide operational coverage. During these periods, the Hands-on Facility Coordinator will follow established procedures and escalation pathways and will not assume financial, contractual, statutory or people-management authority unless formally delegated.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Service Delivery
    • Complete required inductions, permits, risk assessments and pre-start checks before commencing work.
    • Identify and promptly report hazards, environmental risks, incidents and near misses.
  • Hands-on Minor Maintenance
    • Respond promptly to routine service requests and follow issues through to resolution or escalation.
    • Minimise disruption to production by coordinating work with authorised site contacts.
  • Compliance Support
    • Conduct routine site inspections and record defects, risks and corrective actions
    • Support statutory compliance activities, audit preparation and evidence collection, including KORE, GMP, FSSC, WHS, and insurance audits where applicable
    • Maintain accurate records for inspections, permits, contractor documentation and maintenance activities.
  • Reactive Maintenance and Incident Support
    • Act as a first point of response for reactive maintenance tickets and minor facility incidents.
    • Triage issues, make the area safe where possible and escalate according to priority and risk.
    • Coordinate access for approved service providers and provide relevant site information.
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance
    • Assist with scheduling, coordination, execution and follow-up of planned preventative maintenance.
    • Confirm site access, inductions, permits and operational requirements before contractors commence.
